Britannia Dance is more than a studio —
it’s a place to discover your rhythm,
grow your skills, and feel genuinely welcome.
From social beginners taking their first steps to seasoned dancers working toward medals or competitions, our students come from all walks of life — and every one of them belongs here. We teach a full range of Ballroom and Latin styles in a warm, supportive environment that’s both professional and approachable.
Classes are held at our purpose-built Britannia Dance Studio in Stroud, with additional adult sessions in Cirencester.

Britannia Dance Principal, Sam Ellis is a qualified Ballroom Licentiate & Latin Associate of the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA) and has been dancing Ballroom & Latin for over 20 years. He developed his talent and love for dancing through his parents tuition and influence and is delighted to provide quality Ballroom, Latin & Classical Sequence coaching in Gloucestershire for all ages and abilities. His quality tuition is reflected in the high grades students achieve in medal examinations and the growing success of his competitive students at IDTA medallist competitions.
Sams candidates in his professional coaching have also been gaining distinctions in the work they have undertaken in gaining IDTA professional status.
